Picking Through a Wide Array of Wedding Decorations Wedding decorations really pull a wedding together. Wedding decorations are meant to make the bride, groom and guests feel like the wedding is specific to the couple. There are literally dozens of different wedding decorations you can choose from. You can use some of these ideas, or find a way to fit them all in. For the Tables One of the things guests notice first when they attend a wedding is the table centerpieces. Centerpieces pull the entire room together and set the ambiance at each table. Centerpieces usually include candles and/or flowers. Talk with a florist or your venue operator to see what kind of centerpieces will look the best for your wedding. If you have a very specific theme for your wedding, you can get more creative with the centerpieces. For example, if your wedding is a beach theme, you could put fish bowls on the table. You could either put fish or floating candles in the bowl. If you're going to put fish in the bowls, get approval from your venue first. Wedding Accents Though it's good to get your wedding centerpieces together, that's not the only decoration you're going to have to organize. Some venues don't need any additional decorations, others do. Go to the venue and see if it needs livening up. If it's boring, add flowers, lace or white Christmas lights to the décor. These items will make it feel more like an event. Covering the chairs with rented slip covers and draping lace and lights together at the front of the head table will add character to the event. Guests like to look at pictures of the couple when they were little. Something Sweet When you're decorating, don't forget about candy. Guests love having something sweet to snack on. If your wedding is right before dinner and your guests are going to have to wait to eat, put small bowls of nuts on the tables as well.
